. The media could not be loaded. My hands are paralyzed… left hand fully and right hand 90% from a rare neurological disorder in my spine…. opening jars is my #1 nemesis! I can’t grip let alone twist… I’ve managed to adapt and manipulate my hands to do a lot of other things except JARS….It gets hard for me to finish cooking meals if no one is around to assist… that’s why I looked into getting an electric jar opener. I heard about them from my occupational therapist however took years to finally get one. I wish I hadn’t waited this long cause this tool is heaven sent!!! When it arrived I had my son put batteries so I can try it as soon as possible… it took about a week for me to finally need it. I was cooking spaghetti and just as I asked my husband to open the jar I remembered I had bought myself an electric opener!!Quality is nice, it’s actually pretty heavy for a little thing… but easy to hold due to size large size of it. I wasn’t yet sure how to use it do I asked my hubby to put it over the cap and press the button. (See video) I was excited to see how it works that I videoed it… as you can see in my video it opened fairly fast.. it slowly closed its claws til it reached the jar then turns at a slow speed, it froze for a second then popped it right open!!! Super easy to use, just press the one button at the top and it goes the rest! It took 2 AA batteries and since I won’t be using it daily I’m sure those batteries will last awhile! There is a small amount of whining noise that sounds while it’s working but it’s so minor, main thing it does what it’s made to do!Whoever thought of this is genius and must’ve had a hard time opening jars as well. I am very relieved that these are a thing!! I no longer need to ask for help or struggle!! The cost was so worth my independence! Thank you and I hope this helps anyone out there.. if you struggle with jars this is all you need.

My wife has arthritis in her hands which make almost impossible to open even the easiest jar. With her new electric jar opener she has now got back a little bit of her independent in the kitchen.

I purchased the jar opener for my elderly parents, who are struggling to open jars. And this product has certainly proved it self to solve the problem. My parents are thrilled and does the job with ease. My parents are so happy.

. I liked the ease of using this bottle opener. As soon as I got it I popped in 2 fresh AA batteries then tried it out on a 17 oz, 502 fl. oz jar of pickles. It worked like a dream. Granted this is the only jar I’ve tried to open since I just got it today. I had an accident that left me with one hand/arm in a cast and one fully usable hand. An almost impossible situation to try to open jars. But with this gadget, there is hope in getting those stubborn jars of food open especially if no able bodied person is around to help you. I didn’t need two hands for this opener. I placed opener on top of jar. Pressed ON button and held bottom of jar with on hand. It popped the top off effortlessly. I give this a 4 star since I only got it and used it once. Rating could go up or down in time depending on how well it performs with various other jar sizes.

. I actually purchased this as an experiment after my mom and I could not get a very large jar of artichoke hearts open for our pasta one night. As my mom is getting older she is having more difficulty with her hands and in opening jars (as to be expected) but I was truly surprised when I could not get it open even after using all of my tricks! Different fabrics/towels, running the lid under hot water, lightly banging it against the counter edge, and using rubber grips.Mom was determined to return the jar but I asked her to wait a couple days until this arrived. We were astounded when after just a minute of this machine gripping down on the jar it popped the lid off like it was nothing! Definitely one of the best and most useful purchases I could have gotten my mom.

. My Hamilton beach jar opener recently broke so I bought this one as a replacement. The only drawback is this one only has one button for controlling all the functions. So I’m constantly fussing with it until I get it to do what I want it to do either holding the button a little bit longer or pressing it faster, or pressing it repeatedly until it does the function I need it to do etc. but it’s also a bit cheaper so I guess you get what you pay for. It opens my jars eventually and that’s what I need.

. Awkward and large, but helpful with the right size jars. Still need something for small words like ketchup, bottle size

. I bought this for my mom for Christmas in 2020. 3.5 years later, it is still working and she loves it. My mom has very bad arthritis in her hands and wrists. She uses this opener almost daily and raves about how helpful it is.
