A very unique bath mat…In the past, I simply used a washable mat, toss in washer every month, assured clean, they do wear out over time and I replace them, so the cost does add up.So with this stone mat, it appears it will LAST a long time being a natural stone product. Although its called a stone, its not like granite, its reminds me more of super compressed hardboard, or compressed paper.It is quite unique as a bath mat, as its quite hard.It comes with an anti slip runner below to prevent sliding on tile. But its thin, will prob. wear, but any carpet slip protector will work. Comes very well packaged.I see the PROS as….It will LAST,no washer / dryerits claimed to be mold resistantit is highly absorbentIt looks very stylish as seen in the advertisementCONSit can warp, instructions provided above on how to treat this (maker should correct spelling in ad, warp, not wrap)it is not soft like a plush bath matits costly, vs. a rug bath mat, but not for a natural stone.it states to take outside in a well ventilated area to dry if its gets highly saturated, so more work.wipe down excess powder when it forms.If you have a lot of continuous / repetitive users, (lots of kids, but one shower) it might get super saturated, and be harder to dry out, vs. hanging rug bath mat over edge of tub or shower curtain rod, etc.So, I am sure this unique natural stone bath mat has a place in the market. Some will prob. love it, and others will find it less useful than normal rug type bath mat. I will continue to use it, with the only down side for me being its not soft. I am the only one who uses my shower. It works as advertised, looks great, highly absorbent, so 4 star rating from me.

. This is an unusual mat of natural diatomaceous soil compressed into a hard surface. I read somewhere that bugs can die on it, which raised questions, but after reading a rave review in the NYT I felt it was perfectly safe to use. It is definitely absorbent and dries out quickly, much better than a typical bath mat which can often pool water underneath it; this doesn’t do that. It’s comfortable and works. I like it.

. This stone mat is amazing as it feels great on my feet and it starts drying instantly. By the time you dry off your body the mat is nearly or completely dried. This is a game changer for those who hate wet slipper or the feeling of walking on a wet mat after showering. I also have this stone near my bathroom and kitchen sink as it dries up sponges and my pot scrubbers with ease. If your on the fence get it now. I also like that it comes with a sand paper to remove any blemishes you may receive in the future.

. I think that I like this bathmat better than my previous style, but I do miss stepping out on something soft. This mat is a great size and it looks very nice in our space. I was worried that it would slide on the floor, but it does not. We only have one shower in our house, so our previous bathmat tended to get a little soggy after we rotated through. This mat is great at sucking away the moisture, and it completely dries before the next round of showers which is just so amazing being that it just feels like stone. It is truly a magical mat, and worth a try if you have any post shower moisture issues in your bathroom.
