The manual recommends a minimum distance of 13 ft from the seating position. We are at 12 ft. It’s a huge screen. It took about a day to adjust to it but gave my wife and I a head ache and eye strain at first. But that went away. We are using it as our main tv. We’ve had it for a couple of months and Love it! Although it is recommended to have two people set it up, I was able to do it my 100% myself. Wasn’t too difficult. Adjusting the image is tricky and can be frustrating. Also, be aware that it is east to knock the image out of alignment. I recommend to finish all of the connections before you start working on the image on the screen. I learned this the hard way.
