These things are great got here fast. Super easy to use only complaint is when 50lb is selected they don’t want to come out of the sleeve.
Ryan Santrau –
Down plates came cracked but the sellers replaced them. Great set of dumbbells.

We’ve been using these dumbells in our home gym for 6 months and we’re super impressed. The weights are easy to select/change and are sturdy out of the base station. What’s really assuring about them is that the weights slide into V-shaped slats. So when I’m on a bench and the weights are over my head its re-assuring to see that they’re secured by more than just the locking pin. “IF” there were ever a failure the weight likely wouldn’t fall on me…because the V-shaped groove wouldn’t allow it.The weights have remained locked during ‘fast’ (snap type) exercises and the handgrips have a moderate texture that provides grips without being as aggressive as knurling.

. My son has recently started lifting and asked for dumbbells to compliment the power rack and barbells that we already have in the garage. Since we don’t have a lot of space, an adjustable set is what I decided on. The price on these seems competitive for adjustable dumbbells – not expensive, but not exactly cheap either. Here are my pros and cons so far.Pros:- Adjustable weights from 5 to 50 lbs (I didn’t weigh them to make sure the advertised weight is accurate as that didn’t matter to me).- Selection method. The way of selecting the desired weight works well. Spinning the handle to select the weight is easy and intuitive.- Compact storage. This is important if space is at a premium. We can store these in a small corner of the garage and bring them out when needed.- No bar extending past the weight. I had originally bought dumbbell handles that you can add weights to, but that meant the bar extended past the weight and could be in the way doing some exercises such as overhead ones. On these the weight gets added to the ends of the dumbbell so they act just like a full set of individual dumbbells and there is no bar extending past the weight.- Comfortable. They are not overly padded so you can get a secure grip and the contoured handle feels fine in my hands.Cons:- When selecting heavier weight, the dumbbell tends to get stuck in the carrier and you have to hold the carrier down with a free hand or foot. I fixed this by building a cart for the dumbbells that holds the carrier down. (Cart is also useful for moving them in and out of where they are stored)- Sometimes you can’t select the heavier weight if the handle isn’t fully inserted. Resetting the handle with a little more force works to fix that issue.- The weight rattles a little when lifting. That makes me unsure of how long the attachment method will hold up. It is working fine so far.Fine but odd:- These came as a set in 2 boxes. The first box we opened only included the weights and carrier. We figured out how to set the dumbbells up easily enough but I was expecting some instructions. The second box not only had the instructions, but logo endcaps for both dumbbells. It was clear that the 2 boxes we meant to be a set, but I wondered why both boxes weren’t packed identically with the instructions and one set of the endcaps.

. Pros: VERY easily and quickly adjustable. I wanted a single mechanism (compared to other brands I saw where you’d have to dial in EACH side of a single dumbbell), and these fit the bill. Also, they seem relatively sturdy so far. They are decently compact and don’t have the empty frame sticking out at the ends like some other brands do.Cons: as you start getting heavier, they stick in the crates. Not just a little or sometimes. A lot, every time… 20 lbs and under, it’s not an issue. 35 lbs and up, it’s super annoying. At around 25-35 lbs, if you grab the dumbbell, the whole thing starts to come up, but if you hold it just an inch or two up and give it a little shake, the crate still has enough weight/plates left on it, that it will eventually slip off and fall. At 40-50, more of the weight is obv on the dumbbell and the crate isn’t heavy enough to slip off, so the shaking it off “trick” doesn’t work. You have to hold the crate down with your other hand to free the dumbbell. You can’t pick up both dumbbells off the crates at once, need to do one, set it down, then do the other. Guess I should try out their stand and see if that holds them down enough, but it’s kind of obnoxious that that’s almost a requirement to have a smooth workout.Overall, glad I got them. I was looking for something simple to get back in shape. Bought these, an adjustable bench, some (heavy duty) resistance bands, and a pull-up bar. They get the job done. My only regret is that I wish I got something heavier for the DBs. But those options start getting pretty pricey. So, for a basic home gym, these are pretty decent. If you’re looking to get a jump start on your fitness, do it. Get these. If you’re more intermediate, I’d guess that it’s probably worth getting their stand too in hopes that the weights sticking in the crate isn’t as obnoxious. If I get the stand, I’ll update this review. If you’re more advanced, probably skip these and invest in getting heavier ones.

. I got this for my husband for fathers day and my 14 year old loves it as well. I love how compact the weights are, so nice to not have them strewn about the exercise area as well. We did have a learning curve when we tried to adjust the weights, but there is a troubleshooting guide in the box that was super helpful.

. I work construction and every 2 or 3 years I move to a new site. I couldn’t imagine having to move pairs of 5’s 10’s 15’s 20’s etc. every time I move. Quality sturdy product and still working great after more than a year.

. These are really good quality weights. The one thing I want to point out is that they have a flat bottom.I.e., they do not roll around on the floor when you place them down.Love that all I have to do is twist the handle left or right to increase/decrease weights. Glad I got these. Perfect for a home gym.

. I like the ease of adjustment. Great for quick change while super-setting. The grip fits the contour of your hands, which makes it quite comfortable and more controllable.
