. Okay, so for most of us that buy LED lights on Amazon, were often disappointed for various reasons, we all could list several. Outside of a couple small cons, these have to to be some of the best lighting setups I’ve picked up so far, and I couldn’t be happier with the look in my new studio as I build it!I ended up getting the 8-section kit and hooked it right up, outside of the app downloading and pairing the lights to my wifi, you almost don’t even need the instructions, it’s pretty self explanatory.PROS:STRONG – I dropped these at least 5 or 6 times from about 4ft while piecing this together and lifting it up to my wall. (I did this alone at home with no extra hands, more on that later)BRIGHT – So these are insanely bright, and I mean that in the best way possible, the whole room glows and can be easily seen through my shutters in my appartment. Ut the brightness itself is very adjustable.EASY SETUP – Setup and piecing it together is easy enough alone, but be prepared to have to measure/mark to keep it lined up correctly. Keep in mind the adhesive they use is very strong, and may take some paint with them I’d you peel them from the walls after install.PRICING: For what I paid, I expected less than what I got for performance, and wad blown away by all of the custom presets it already has, as well as custom animations you cam basically make yourself, although it’s a bit limited in some aspects, hardly worth complaining a out thoughCONS:INSTALL DIFFICULTY WHEN ALONE- This is one of my only complaints, and it’s not really even the companies fault, moreso just a warning for those getting this. Measure and mark twice, install once. This is a big set and being able to plan out where it lands on the wall is a big deal if you wanna avoid peeling wasting time.All in all, this LED kid was more than I asked for, and is now part of my music production inspiration, as well as the background for my livestreams and online training videos for work. I can’t wait to get another kit, because I intend to!

. The media could not be loaded.  For the first 15 minutes I was completely bummed and extremely angry that the last light segment would not power on. I had read other user reviews further substantiating that they were having the same issue. I figured what the heck, I might as well see what the lights look like… so I went onto the app did the firmware update, and the lights reset themselves and voila! The last light came on. Extremely happy with the product.

. it’s a cool novelty light. something that a lot of people don’t have. that’s the pro. it is nice but there are cons.1. they don’t really tell you that you can’t power more than 8 sections with 1 adapter. I am creating a word and was going to be able to connect them all to one adapter, but no such luck. have to use 3.2. the colors are not very brilliant. I now have 4 govee sets of lights and they are all like this. I’ve had better looking light strips in the past.3. I absolutely hate the app. it’s completely unintuitive. I’ve been trying to do a DIY scene with 2 colors alternating fading and it’s taken 3 days to get it right. takes 2 seconds with NZXT cam or Aura Sync on PC. forget about trying to do something more complex.

. These are amazing. I’m a teacher and put them up in my classroom. Students love them and I can change them yo a million different color combos!

The media could not be loaded.  Super bright and awesome colours but most of the scenes are always at max brightness even if it’s at 1% on the app. Still if it’s on one Color it’s fine.

. I bought the 6 piece with 1 corner piece.Dislikes: the corner piece that comes with the set will only allow you to go one direction. In my case it was the opposite of what I was looking for. I think they do it to force you to buy the more expensive set. There is no manual control. You have to use the app to turn it on or off. This gets really annoying if you don’t have your phone handy.Likes: lots of lighting effects and light customization. Lots of automation options. Seems to be well made.
