Wanted a simple, mono headset with a microphone so as I could chat to my friends online. Most expensive headsets are stereo, 3D sound etc, but I didn’t want to have the actual game audio, as I have a surround sound system for that. This is ideal, cheaply made, yes, but the audio is clear and my mates can here me fine too at the other end. They are very comfortable, and for the price you really can’t go wrong. Ideal for what I bought them for.

Where to even begin. I give this headset 1 star, and that is only because the option to give out negative star ratings is not an option. Even for the $15 bucks that this costs, this thing is absolute garbage. When purchasing this headset, I had absolutely no disillusions that I was buying something on the low end of the spectrum in terms of quality, what so ever. However, I figured that I would at least be purchasing a working product that functioned as it is advertised. Boy, was I just flat out wrong lol. Calling this headset garbage, or a waste of money, and honestly really time as well, for waiting the days that it took to be delivered, and delivered late I might add, doesn’t even fully encompass how bad this thing is. It is insanely uncomfortable in every single way, and “Adjusting” the size does nothing to make it more comfortable what so ever. And I say adjusting that way, because their idea of what adjusting actually means, is very skewed from its actual definition lol. When they say it adjusts to different sizes, what they mean is that the band that goes over the top of your head slides up and down through the a slot in the ear piece, by doing so does absolutely nothing to improve the overall way it fits your head lol, and the extremely rigid plastic that said band is made out of, literally does not change shape, as in bending or being somewhat flexible, so that it actually sits comfortably on your head. You would literally have to like heat up the plastic in some way in order to bend it, and then hold it there so as to reshape the plastic in order to make it the shape of an actual human head lol. Even the ear piece is very uncomfortable, because it has very limited padding, and where there could be more padding, the space for it is sacrificed and made even smaller to accommodate for it’s notable ability to accommodate people who wear glasses, so that the glasses don’t come in contact with anything at all. It’s like apparently Turtle Beach just thought “screw the larger Percentage of people who don’t wear glasses. Let’s deisgn this headset for the minority group of people, those who do wear glasses, so that only those people are comfortable wearing them”. Makes no sense what so ever. Then there is the fact that they do not even work as advertised. The description for them flat out states that this headset is a “chat only” headset. Meaning that game sounds can not be made to play through the headset, but only through the tv as they would without a headset. When buying a headset, I always look for a chat only headset, because I hate headsets that play game sounds through them. I have never understood how anyone could even like having game sounds played through the headset in the first place. I can’t play like that. I need chat only specific headsets, because I cannot stand having game audio, AND chat playing through my headset at the same time. And even though it clearly is advertised as a chat only headset, it is in fact a game audio and chat headset. Making the advertisement a flat out lie. And then on to on top of all that, the damn thing doesn’t even work lol. I can hear people, sometimes, but no one can ever hear me at all ever, even when I am not muted. Do yourself a favor, and do not buy these. They are an utter waste of money, even if they only cost $15. Absolute trash. Do yourself a favor, and shell out a bit more money on a good headset that is more comfortable, and actually works.

I normally don’t write reviews but felt that the negative reviews did the product a serious injustice.It is a cheap product but does not feel cheap.Got it on sale, from the bad reviews I was thinking it is less than £5 so at worst I can use it as parts.It fits over the ear, so no pressure and discomfort on your ear, and you can hear the game sound from the TV perfectly.I did heat the plastic headband with almost boiling water to bend it into the shape I thought it should have been. That is the only negative for me, the packaging. it feels like the headset was jammed into a box that was a little too small for it, but that does not impact performance.Despite the negative reviews the headset is actually comfortable, so comfortable that after 5-10 minutes of gameplay I forget it is on. People complain about the foam, it is not the mesh foam, but then again the foam they have used here does not soak up sweat, which is a real plus and an issue I have had with the mesh foam headsets in the past. The foam is hard but comfortable.The only tweak I would suggest is a bit more volume. I have the headset volume on the PS4 outputs set to max for chat and max on the headset but it sounds a little quiet still. But then again it could be the volume on the mic from others.If you need a chat headset you cannot go wrong with this. And at £5 on sale it is a bargain. Thinking of buying a second as a spare.

I tried everything to get this microphone to work with the PS5 let alone anything in CoD. I am very technically capable and this just does not work. Either there is a fundamental flaw in the PS5 system or this headset is not designed correctly. Please, someone tell me what to do because I tried every possible setting. What do I need to have a microphone headset for the PS5? The PS5 didn’t even pickup the mic input.

I wanted lite, and it is. It works by plugging into the back of the Xbox controller. Sadly it uses a lot of battery power? I guess it’s not engineered very effectively! Who wants to have to change batteries in the middle of gaming battle?
