. I bought this particular saw mainly due to 50% off and I needed something to help clear branches and a tree felled during Ian. When it arrived- my first thought was Toys-R-Us had re-opened. It looks and feels extremely cheap. So with much skepticism I headed to the back yard and got to work. I have to say it was very impressive results. It took care of business easily. The guide recommends nothing thicker than 3″- the tree was 6″ and it just ripped right through it no problem. First battery ran for about 30 minutes at heavy load. 2nd battery completed the job. A couple points to make:The charger plugs directly into the battery-took me a few minutes to figure that out.2nd there is no chain oil inlet. I used a silicone based lube spray on the chain and track and it seemed to work just fine. All-in-all, it was a great experience, my first thought when I opened the box was “I sure hope Mickey Mouse isn’t too mad when he finds out his cordless saw is missing” But actually using it completely changed my mind. Thumbs up!

. I’m impressed with this mini battery powered chainsaw. I’m clearing and cleaning out a section of woods on our property. It’s been several years since it was cleaned out and I’m clearing out the brush and saplings that have started to take over. We have a fair amount mountain laurel and a small patch of rhododendron so I’ve used this saw to get in and remove the saplings. We have a great stand of poplars, red and white oak, hickory, red maple, beech and dogwoods that tower over this area. I’ve used the saw and the two batteries with about 15 charges on each battery now. The battery recharging time is good. I use a chainsaw bar sprocket greaser to lube the bar tip sprocket and a can of spray oil lube to keep the chain happy. The saw easily handles the saplings and 2 to 3 inches with no problem. I’ve had the saw shut down for a minute or two while cutting a large piece, so I know the thermal protection works. Keep in mind this is a small, easy on the back, very light weight, hand sized saw and not a 2-cycle powerhouse. I’m happy as the 2 batteries give me about an hour of working time (then it’s time for a break). The batteries go 15 to 18 minutes saw run time each, depending on the size of brush/saplings you are sawing. I’m retired and we have around 80 feet of elevation change, so for me, this little saw works for me.

. I bought this with the intention to use it to trim some bushes, trees, and to remove a few smaller trees in my back yard. It is the perfect size and super easy to use. It’s definitely a mini chainsaw, but it has a lot of power! I highly recommend for women who do yard work or even men who have smaller scale projects. The weight of it makes it so easy to do hard work and the battery lasts long enough to get a job done. I honestly haven’t had to charge it fully yet.

. I will start with the positive: This is a great little chain saw for cutting down smaller deadfall and low-hanging branches. I use it to cut through both green and dry wood up to 4″ thick. a bit larger would probably be fine too. Great for cleaning up spring and fall debris. So lightweight that even I, with severe arthritis, can handle it. I definitely recommend keeping it oiled–including once you store it away for winter. The handy plastic storage kit box comes with a small bottle of oil (along with some spare chain segments and other useful items), but that won’t last long. Mineral oil would be the best, which I believe is what the company included. Mineral oil won’t harm your live plants/trees. The battery (comes with two!) started right out of the box and I worked fairly consistently for about 4 hours before I had to switch to the second battery and charge the first-VERY IMPRESSIVE!As for the negative-Yes, only one: There is kick-back when starting cuts. However, this is to be expected with such a light tool. I found that putting a little extra pressure down on the wood when starting with dry wood helped, and with wet/fresh wood a lighter touch when starting worked. But you’ll have to play with it to see what works for you. Overall, this was money well-spent and I recommend it to anyone.

. One of the best purchases I have made. My 100 year old aunt had a lot of downed limbs from 70 mph winds. I was able to cut up the limbs and clean up the mess. There is a limb diameter limit for a lot larger limbs. The size is perfect for trimming up! I used only one of the battery packs and still could of kept going. I love the carrying case and the maintenance. Tools with googles and gloves also enclose. Perfect addition to any farmer girl like myself, yards and more.

. Comes almost ready to go out of the box, well at least it ran when I inserted a battery. However, it didn’t last very long, maybe 20 minutes and then it died. Comes with 2 batteries and worked with other battery so I guess it died? Plugged it into charger whose is either red or green so no idea how charged a battery is. I charged the dead battery and then plugged in the other battery which, while working, still showed as red. If you read the fine print in the manual, it does say to charge the battery first; would have been nice if it just said that somewhere in big letters on the first page. There is no packing list so no idea if i got everything i should have and what it is that i did get. In the case, there’s a plastic bag that contains an extra chain and screwdriver, which is pretty self-explanatory and the manual does show you how to replace the chain if needed. The bag also contains a small plastic squeeze bottle that contains some clear liquid and a small brush. Now I’m assuming that bottle contains some lubricating oil that again is referenced in the fine print but since it doesn’t even allude to this small bottle being in the case, I am hesitant to use it. I have never used a chainsaw before so the care of one is new to me. The directions also say to not use it on anything wider than 100mm: for the metric challenged American, that’s basically 4 inches which I will probably be testing as I have a couple of things that are somewhat wider than that. But so far, so (mostly) good.
