Overall:Works perfectly and looks very good. mine has a small scratch at the back which is not visible thanks to the magnesium build.I wish it came with a pen just like the original surface pro 3, but that is not a big issue for me. If you want the pen consider the pen price before you make a decision.Performance:The tablet works fine for note taking and office documents. Anything heavier (web development or video editing) will speed up the fans and warm up the device and drain the battery really fast.Screen:No dead pixels so far and the touch is responsive and well calibrated.Battery:The battery seems to be working properly. After five full charge cycles, the full charge capacity of the battery is 40516 mWH which is 4% lower than the designed capacity of 42157 mWH, which is not a deal breaker for me.Conclusions:If it was a new device or it had a higher price tag I would have rated it 4 stars. For a refurbished device at this price, it deserves five stars.

I never thought I would be a PC person ever again, I have to say that I really love my Microsoft Surface Pro 3!I’m a bit disappointed it didn’t come with the Surface Pen, but that’s okay.I had no visible physical problems with my Surface Pro 3, it was almost like it was completely brand new. I just wish the battery life was a little better (only good for 5 hours instead of up to 9 hours), another than that. No real complaints about the quality of the refurbish!

Update: My 5Ghz band died on the wireless adapter for my Surface. Spoke with Amazon support, their standards for refurbishing are vague at best. See my chat log:Monique: Yes, I have seen that this is a common issue. Have you tried to contact the manufacturer to see if they have the resolution for this common problem?Me : The device is not under manufacture warranty, the support I have avalaible is via TechNet, it’s common network troubleshooting, does not resolve issue.Me : also changed my WAP’s channels across the entire 5gthz band still no resolution, other devices on my network function fine at 5ghzMe : When the 5Ghz band doesn’t show eSSIDs, The entire device needs to be shut off, then powered on, at that point it will populate the SSIDSMe : Sometimes, will connect.Me : After troubleshooting, it’s a hardware issue.Monique: I definitely do agree. Since this item was sold from a third party seller on our website, we do not have access to their inventory to send a replacement. We can refund you for the device and you may feel free to re-purchase from another seller on our website.Me : Ok. Also, from my review and others, I’m concerned about what QA standards go into refurbing these machines.Me : My device was extremely dirty out of the box, and others had issues with damage on their devices. How would I know if I will receive a device that’s actually been tested?Monique: All the devices that are certified refurbished by Amazon are tested.Me : What about battery capacity and use, is there a certain number of cycles limited or design capacity percentage to meet the standards?Monique: Yes, but I am not sure what the seller bases them off of.Me : what standard does Amazon have?Me : Batteries only last a certain number of cycles, years, when will it approved as “refurbished” 95% capacity? 80%, 70%? This tablet had 150 cycles on the battery, its capacity is still good, but what’s the standard since Amazon is not clear. Apple refurbished is really like new, the Macbook I’ve bought years ago had 2 cycles on the batteryMonique: Products sold under the Certified Refurbished on Amazon label have been tested and certified to look and work like new by a qualified manufacturer or a specialized third-party refurbisher who is either the seller of record, when that is not Amazon.com; or the vendor, when Amazon sells products that it sources from vendors.Me : “Work like new” should have a standard in place for battery capacity required. Otherwise, to put bluntly, these devices are just used, not refurbished.Me : Essentially that’s misrepresentation of the product stating it’s “like new” with a battery that has over 150 cyclesMe : I think Amazon needs to clarify what tests and standards go in the refurb process. I would like an exchange only if I feel confident in the device I will receive. Otherwise, This one still functions for the time beingMonique: The refurbishment process includes a full diagnostics test, replacement of any defective parts, a thorough cleaning and inspection process, and repackaging by the seller or vendor.Me : I understand diagnostics, but what % of a battery is deemed to be bad?Monique: It varies upon usage and we do not have access to the diagnostic specifications of the refurbish process.PROS: 256GB 8GB Ram Surface Pro 3 for $430! Perfect function, perfect screen/glass, works with Pro 4 case Keyboard, All day battery life, includes a new/like new AC adapter.CONS: Used item, not refurbished. Very dirty and gross, 93%-98% battery capacity w/ 150+ cycles, minor physical wear scratches, nothing major, Outdated Win10 image installed. Questionable “refurbishment process”I’m disappointed by the “refurbished- like new” quality of the description listed for this device. From my experiences with “refurbished” items from Apple, Dell, and directly from other manufactures, they literally replace and refurb any wear part on the item making it function and look like new. Batteries are replaced, chassis are cleaned and if damaged, replaced with new parts. In the past, the three generations of Macbook laptops I’ve bought brand new had hardware issues; versus the discounted factory-refurb 2011 one that’s still kicking with absolutely no issues for years on end. That said, this Surface is not “refurbished”, it’s used. The amount of work put into refurbishing it is minimal. The screen was cleaned and the OS was reset so you can complete the reinstall of Windows 10 Pro. Note, the Anniversary update was not applied, after reinstall so an older image was used. As for the back, I can tell you the prior owner was pretty gross. The silver magnesium finish was covered with yellow smudges from the smoker’s hands, and on the kick-stand between back of the device along the machined crease was a nasty yellow piece of what looked like ear wax! Gross! At that point I was debating on just shipping it back to Amazon for another replacement or just a return. Since it was already on my desk, and I had latex gloves, isopropyl alcohol and a beer nearby, I’ve mustered up the willpower to clean this mess. Fortunately, the paper towels used removed nearly all of the nasty mess, with q-tips I was able to remove the rest of the gnarly biological mater from the kickstand. To finish off, I went ahead and used a blower to attempt to blow out any dust accumulated from the heatsink area of the device. All said and done, the device actually looks pretty good. Even though my device’s original owner was a nasty slob, at least he didn’t drop it or scratched it up too badly. There’s a few minor wear marks on the back, but nothing too concerning.I’ve proceeded to use my most current Windows 10 USB boot disk to perform a clean factory format and reinstall. Everything is good. Updated the firmware, drivers, and checked the battery. You can check the battery by going to command prompt in windows, type: “powercfg /batteryreport”Overall, the battery usage shows 150 charge/discharge cycles, between 93-98% design capacity after the week of use. I’m not sure if I want to keep this device or just reformat it and send it back.

Awesome laptop tablet. Very good even in 2017. I’m using it to do some gaming and video editing. The device because warmer but nothing alarming. Perfect size for traveling.

Oh. My. Goodness. The Surface Pro 3 is amazing.First, let’s get the negative out of the way. It did not come with a pen.Now the positive. Flawless product, no visible use, wear or scratches. About 6 hours battery life. Came pre-loaded with Windows 10. Simple upgrade to current version. Runs exceptionally quick, and I have yet to hear the fan turn on, so it keeps quite cool. All said and done. I am exceptionally happy and would highly recommend a Surface Pro 3 and the seller DealFisher.

I’ll start with this: I had read a lot of reviews of companies selling ‘refurbished’ Microsoft Surface devices, but just basically reboxing them without actually doing anything. In some cases, shipping dead devices. I had previously purchased a refurbished Surface 3, and had good lock with that. So, I would have bought from that company, but they didn’t have any more of those, so I had to do a lot more seller review checks on Amazon before I pulled the trigger on this purchase. So it bought this one from some company named “DealFisher” selling through Amazon as their warehouse / shipper.I wanted just another Surface 3 (Atom based) as a Windows based beside tablet. My wife wanted one, so I gave her my current one, figuring I didn’t really need it and would go back to using my old iPad. That is when I got hit with exactly why I went away from the dam* iPad: Websites that crash the browser. Everyone is using things the poor browser in iOS can’t cope with and it crashes them. So they have to reload the page over and over. And it is happening more and more frequently. This does not happen in Windows – thus back to a Surface 3.So the price on this was even cheaper than on a Surface 3. At $300, it was a steal. I didn’t even know they made a Core i3 version of the 3 Pro. This is it. The 4 gigs of memory you should really have, but only 64 gigs of storage space. For bedside browsing, this is more than enough. When I unboxed it, the battery was totally dead. I had to charge it for 15 minutes before it would start. But, start it did. And it immediately went into the ‘welcome/configuration’ screens of a fresh OS install. So it had been wiped and an OS reinstalled. But.. I think it was Windows 8. However I wasn’t given much time to figure that out, because once I stepped through the install screens, it immediately pulled down updates, decided it was ready to upgrade to Windows 10 and did so. I didn’t mind that because Win 10 is actually an okay tablet OS if you can live with the privacy invasion. (Hint, never use your real name or information if you have concerns. Or if you own an official license, then install Windows 8.1 ) **note: I did revert an older Surface Pro down to Windows 8.1 because it also works an a tablet OS and I feel a little more in control of it when I am going to put important things in there like my company work files and such. Thus began the 24 hours of updates. There were so many updates this thing had to apply. Very often when you finish installing updates, you should make it check again to see if there are updates to the updates. Yes, this really happens. In my case there were many updates. Quite a few required you to reboot so they could finish installing. Then you start again doing the next set of updates. That is life of a fresh install. But, that has nothing to do with the item in question. This Surface 3 Pro is a bit slower than the Core i5 version. If you can afford it, get one of those. If you want a simple adjunct / side computer to whatever you already own, then this works fine. Add on a Micro SD card like a 128 gig card, then you have enough secondary space to store things rather than the tight 64 gig drive. (The card slot for the Micro SD card, is behind the kickstand(llap on the back), out of the way and not along the edge.)This refurbished unit has a great screen with no scratches of chips. The magnesium body doesn’t show any scratches or scaring either. I guess I got lucky with this one.Everything on this seems to work, from USB port to charging port, touch screen to speakers. The screen is bright and shows no signs of ‘spots’ or discoloration. I really think that for every other hangup I have a about Microsoft software, their hardware offerings are always pretty high quality compared to their direct competitors. So I expected and found this to be of the quality I have seen on other new and used Surface devices. The interesting thing with this purchase; It came with a charger to recharge it, as you would expect. However, you would expect a used charger nicely cleaned, twist tied, and tossed in the box. What I actually received was a brand new Microsoft charger for the Surface 3 Pro. I know it is new because (besides the spotless look and the plastic baggy it is in) it came with the cables carefully wound in that pristine way they do at the factory, then each one wrapped with that single band of polyester tape that a knock-off factory would likely not expend the money on. So I felt good about that part of this. The only thing I could ding on this experience was the packaging. It wasn’t horrible, and no damage resulted from it, so it is a very minor touch point. The Surface was placed in a padded envelope of the kind they make from bubble wrap. It wasn’t sealed, but was just tight enough that the device didn’t slide out. That and the charger where then placed in a generic white box, much like a cut-to-fit pizza box of some sort. Good enough to stack on Amazon shelves. Amazon shipped it out in their typical ‘way too big’ box with just the very minimum of padding. In the end it survived. Why four stars? The device works. It shipped without damage. It had no signs of internal issues so far. It even appears to have shipped with a new power supply / charger. So far so good. I think the only thing I could complain about was packaging. It did’t impress me. I don’t know who does it. There was a included sticker / slip in the box detailing how vendors had to meet a certain level of quality to sell through Amazon. So maybe the vendor put that in the box, or maybe Amazon just packages the bits into a box. No idea. But it didn’t really make me feel like: ‘Wow, look at this packaging’. My last Surface 3 was also a refurbished unit. It came in a very nice box. Clearly branded as a Surface 3 and refurbished. And this wasn’t a sticker, but a full on printed-on-shiny cardboard paint job. Some good money spent on that experience. I am pretty sure it was identical to the original shipping box, as it have the tray it floated in, and a separate box for the power supply. It could easily be that Microsoft had someone doing the official refurb and boxing, and then having someone handle the sales. However, this one was not presented in any such nice fashion.Sometimes you get lucky buying used, and I can’t say I did not. It works just fine and I am using it right now to type this up right now, on battery power (which has lasted an expectedly nice amount of time, which on a device that you can not replace the battery in, is a significant issue).

I am not an Android guy. Although I am always fascinated by Android devices and products. I have owned quite a few Chinese knock-offs and a few Xiaomi brand phones but nothing ever lasted. In retrospect, I didn’t give them much of a chance. I am an Apple guy. I love Mac and Apple products. What I don’t like? The price. What I do like? The quality. Apple has maintained quality products for some time. I’ve had many iPhones, iPads, Mac Pros, Macbook Pros, Macbooks, Mac minis, and iMacs. Our whole office here in Ghana is on mac. Why? Reliability and longevity. Ok, so I’ve got the fanboying out the way, on to the subject of this post. Why did you buy this thing?Well, simply put, on one of my trips back to the US earlier this year, my 13″ Macbook Pro died and I needed a replacement. I loved the 13″ size for going back and forth to the office and it was a good “beater” laptop. I have a loaded 16″ Macbook Pro that I prefer to keep in pristine shape for editing video and graphics. I figured let’s try the 12.4″ tablet and see if it can handle what I am throwing at it.I LOVE THIS TABLET.I am typing on it right now for this post. I was skeptical of having an Android tablet after having a few knock-offs and bad experiences with them, but this thing just keeps getting better. The only downside? No iMessaging or integration of Mac apps. I can live without that. In fact, it has me wondering if I should switch all of my note-taking, list-making, and stuff to Google apps.SpeedThis thing is fast. I’m not just talking fast, I’m talking lighting fast. I am constantly shocked at how responsive and quick everything is. Websites load fast, apps load without hesitation, and streaming is a joy. With the Qualcomm SM7225 Octa-Core processor, this thing delivers. My kids use iPad devices for streaming and sometimes school. My son has one of the later models of the regular iPad. This Samsung tab smokes it. I mean trail of fire smokes it.ScreenThe screen on this device is one of the best I’ve ever seen or used. I’m serious. I like it better than the iPads I own. It’s clear, and crisp and the 4K video looks incredible on it. Let’s put it this way, I’d rather watch Netflix on this tablet than on my 16″ Macbook Pro. Even when viewing bad or old footage on YouTube, I’ve found the quality is amazing. I’m not sure what they’re doing over there at Samsung but they better keep doing it. If you don’t believe me, go find one on display at a store. You’ll be a believer quickly. Even with fingerprints of my own and my kids, this thing is still crisp and clear. For what it’s worth, I do not put on-screen protectors on my devices. I don’t like the loss of clarity and function with screen protectors.Battery LifeI have yet to have this thing die on me. Granted I don’t use it enough to kill the battery. Even after two days of not being on the charger, it was still at 60%. I couldn’t believe it. Time will tell how long that lasts but if it’s this good to start with I don’t feel worried about that at all. Maybe when I fly again back to the States I’ll test how long it lasts on a flight.AccessoriesWith this tablet, I bought the Amazon suggested keyboard and case made by Fintie. For all intents and purposes, it’s not a bad case. Do I wish I had bought the Samsung keyboard and case? Sure. But the cost was a bit high and I didn’t think it was a deal-breaker on the tablet. The Fintie case works well enough and offers a few options for pen storage. I do like that the tablet came with a tablet pen which is a good selling point, even if you don’t use it.ConclusionAll in all, this tablet is a winner. The screen alone is worth the price but as an added bonus the speed just feels unmatched. If I had to go back and choose again, I’d likely choose it again. If you’re an Apple person, like I am, this is a worthy device to add to your arsenal.

The media could not be loaded.

I came in not having an andriod tablet since 2011. It has been a very long time. I haven’t had an andriod phone since around 2013. I went full ios after getting tired of the operating system and it’s inconsistencies. I have an iPad Air 3 and love it. It’s fast and ios over the years has allowed for more input even though it’s still pretty closed off as far outside install. I was looking towards using retroarch and older retro gaming along with a touch screen. I had been using my iPad but I hated having to sign in once a week on my laptop and I don’t need much power for the older stuff so I did alot of research before coming to a decision on the s7 fe. The other devices seemed too expensive for my needs and I also read alot from others that the S8 models using the gen 1 chipset has a limit on how much power can be output before it throttles so I didn’t see the point in spending more for receiving less. And boy, let me tell you, alot has definitely changed in the past 10 years. I had no idea that Andriod has now become iOS. I bought the 64gb thinking I could transfer apps to the micro SD card. You can’t. Many of it is locked into the internal drive. While you can have the apps access data off of the micro SD card the apps itself install on the internal. Only very little amount of apps can transfer but it was only 1 or 2 I was able to transfer. Had I known this I would’ve spent more on the 256gb. If you’re reading this and deciding PLEASE DO NOT get the 64. Save yourself the future worry and stick to the 256. I was planning on doing bare minimum as far as the Google Play Store went. But without installing a single thing and after fully updating my tablet I had 30% of storage gone. Just gone. After a week of “bare minimum”, Netflix, Crunchyroll, etc., I have 40% storage taken up. I’m currently considering returning and exchanging it but I’ve already spent alot on it to cover and care for the screen with protectors.NOW for performance I am highly, highly impressed. From experience the only reason I can see why everything is internal now is for stability. And so far I’ve only had one real issue. The tablet is very responsive. I saw videos from earlier this year how the device wasn’t fully capable of doing 4K YouTube but from my experience these past few days it’s been quick and snappy. 4K/60 on YouTube hasn’t had any issues playing. All my other apps as well run quick. I’m really enjoying the size of the screen. And the screen itself is bright enough and clear when displaying videos or playing a game. The tablet is larger than my iPad Air and I’m happy with it. I don’t like small devices. And depending on how big you are and your hands you’ll definitely love this size if you are bigger. It’s not heavy at all, I had no problems using it in one hand and using the other to write on it. I LOVE the drawing app on it. If you love to draw you’ll definitely love using this tablet. If you’ve seen videos online as well sometimes it doesn’t look impressive but when I used it suspringly felt nothing like what I saw on YouTube. It’s so good. I didn’t know that it also had sensitivity and was surprised when I pressed harder to see the digital ink change. While I have no idea how to actually draw and probably the worst at it I really did enjoy just scribbling away and using the paint feature on Samsung’s own app. I also like to practice kanji and it works as well as my iPad. I can see this being an iPad alternative for those who don’t want an iPad. Though to be honest at a certain price point once you reach S8 levels the iPad is by far the better option. There is no comparison. But for the sale price of this s7 fe under $400 you can’t beat it.As for gaming, retro gaming, I want an all in one device. I wanted to play my DS games I already own on a bigger screen and my other systems including psp in handheld and Dreamcast games without hooking up my DC and getting a converter. Everything has been great. Even some Sega Saturn. I’m having some issues getting Saturn running without quitting in RA but those that do run flawlessly. NDS runs great. PSX is running good as expected. And transferring my psp saves was as easy as hooking my psp via usb to the tablet via usb adapter and transferring saves to my micro SD card. Ppsspp read my saves and I was able to continuing my jrpgs on the tablet and to my TV via hdmi. Samsung Dex also ran great. There’s also other things that look very ios like (outputting sound has the same look now)and I’m glad that it’s actually as smooth as it now.In the end, for under $400 the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE is an excellent choice for a variety of uses. Whether you’re using it for school, drawing, writing letters and using the web – to streaming apps and Retro gaming it is by far the best device for every use. I am glad Android has come a long way to fixing many of the issues I had with it. I can not recommend this tablet enough. I don’t think you’ll find one better at this price point with so many features including the desktop-like Dex mode. I gave my review based on not seeing the uses I’d use it for so I hope it helps someone in their decision making.Highly recommended!!—FEBRUARY 2023 UPDATED—I still highly recommend this tablet. However I returned it for the S7+ model. Woot had a really nice sale for it for only $20-30 more than what I paid for the FE model. How can one pass up the offer? There is a nice noticeable improvement over the FE. YouTube 4K works consistently. As I stated in my review I did not see any harsh sluggish performance on the FE. For a good amount of videos it was fine but I did start to run into issues more and more where it would stutter. And it would with more photographic videos. I also think it may have to do with RAM as well as Android seems to hold more in the memory than my iPad does. Fortunately and To be completely honest on the FE it is nearly impossible to tell the difference between 1440p and 4K so I left it at 1440p as that looked really crisp. If you’re having issues with 4K the 1440p works perfectly fine and looks superb.Apps on the S7+ start up faster (but not by much and I did have an app that weirdly kept loading faster than the S7+ but may have been due to cache). I was impressed with the start up speed of the FE. The S7+ shines brightly with its OLED model, the videos I tested side by side clearly shows black blacks with the plus model and switching between 120 hertz vs 60 hertz is also very noticeable especially when I was transferring my files and just checking out the different apps and videos. It’s the same feeling you get when you see 60/30.Another major difference for me personally, as is with my retro retrospective is that Saturn games seemed to work so much better. I could not get Enemy Zero to run whatsoever and afterwards just crashed Retroarch. It ran fine on my iPad Air 3 and on the S7+ I am happy to report it runs good as well. However on a sad note upscaling DS games even by 2x stutters bad on the plus while on the FE it just came to a hault. On my iPad Air 3 I was able to upscale multiple times with zero issues. The reason why I include my iPad now is because the Air gen 3 cost the same as the S7+ msrp. Unfortunately it’s tedious to set up and a pain to keep refreshing every single week to get emulation working on top of only allowing 3 apps at a time to be installed. There’s no doubt that the iPad Air 3 is significantly more powerful than the S7+. With that sad it’s no slouch. It is wonderfully fast. I’m really loving it and because of the OLED and refresh rate of the S7+ screen I find myself going to it even for random “every day” tasks over the iPad.There is ONE COOL thing the android does that I am unable to do on the iPad and though it may seem trivial if it interests you if you enjoy watching YouTube or music while gaming (or retro gaming in this case) this ability is very neat. In DEX mode (by the way it can’t be overstated how awesome this is by Samsung) when connected the tv I like to play my DS games too/bottom. The “action” portion of the screen gets the left major side and size of the screen while the “map view” gets the bottom right and smaller size of the tv screen. This leaves the top right of blank square. What I do is I open YouTube with my playlist for gaming and resize the screen to fit the square! So while I’m on a long jrpg I can also watch whatever I’m in the mood for to fit what I’m doing. How cool right? And since retroarch has a built in volume gain (many old games especially handheld don’t have in-game volume controls) you can adjust the sound so they don’t overlap so much between YouTube and games.Speaking of COOL things, if you’re using a Dual Sense ps5 controller the touchpad also works as a mouse! Allowing you to do everything with just the ps5 controller. You’ll be able to double click on apps and well do anything a mouse can do. On a side note you’ll have to be in DEX mode to properly use it as I’ve noticed in tablet mode the dual sense mouse direction is sideways meaning if you scroll up it’ll go right. I think it’s turned 90 degrees in all directions. But in DEX mode it’s normal. (If you’re reading this and it’s still sideways control, turn off the tablet screen.. DEX doesn’t turn off only the tablet. That’ll fix it). I’m assuming the DualShock 4 with its touchpad will also work the same.Last but not least, I had no real interest in converting my ps2 and GameCube for Dolphin as I still use those plus my Wii connected via hdmi. HOWEVER there are a few games I don’t have that I’d love to play. They play okay. They have to be on native resolution otherwise any upscale has major slow downs. The FE couldn’t bother to run them properly even at native resolution. And if Apple ever allows these apps to run without going through hoops they all run excellent on the Air 3.I wrote a lot here and I really hope it helps someone because I mentioned I wished I could’ve had a it more insight especially well after release since YouTube videos seem to be all based off early testing. Many things change over time just like android 11 taking away the ability for apps to move to micro sd card and turning into an iOS. That is one nice thing is that my roms are on a now 512gb. My ipad has 256 so I’d be out of room. I’ve been super excited revisiting my old games. Even my GBA saves like ff6 (with sound restoration) save transferred to Retroarch once I was able to find out by trial and error that mGBA was the correct core to use. Btw, GBA on the S7+ OLED screen, just (insert chefs kiss gif/meme and all the above here) You’ll also want to use MelonDS. It doesn’t have the upscale Desemu has but you can’t anyway and I find it a little easier to use. Only Mario Kart DS seems to crash if I rewind in melon over Desu but I’m still sticking with it to keep everything in sync. It’s been nice having my library and saves in ONE place with a touch screen, finally.Thank you so very much for reading this far!!Happy gaming!

…due to decreasing battery life and wear and tear on the charging port..but in fairness I have used it every day for five years and it still works…the USB-C is an improvement over the micro-usb connection…the weight is about the same…the new unit has better ram and storage than the previous unit along with the screen display but for myself the change had been marginal (so far) with the caveat that I only use it to read e-books and stream movies and for that purpose it (IMO) is one of the best bang for the buck items on the market…my only two real complaints are the sound which is nasty/horrible on some movies…you really need headphones or some sort of bluetooth connection to other speakers…the other is that it was extremely difficult to connect to my Altice/Optimum Wifi…it took close to 40 tries before it made a connection…it was easier on my 2017 release…I’m not sure where to place the blame but it was a problem nonetheless…I would seriously suggest upgrading from the 9 to a 15 volt charger. Otherwise I am ok with this unit. Edit: what I do notice is the color is more vibrant than previous models…that’s a definite plus…also there is way too much bitchin’ about the screen lock…you only see it one time and you move past it…you save some money and a buck is a buck…I’ve actually had some useful information from the adverts. I would add You cannot rely on just the basic information from the manufacturer that its cord fits a Fire 10. It may or may not. ALL you have to look at is the charging port to see if it’s a USB-C or a micro-USB. For example, the previous Fire 10 I have is a 7th gen 2017 release that uses the micro-USB. Again, all you have to do is look at the charging port to see which one it is. My understanding is that the Fire can handle up to a 15W charger and the 9W one supplied by Amazon is too weak for my purposes. It may be they do this out an abundance of caution so that a power surge doesn’t damage the unit, but I come from a long line of village idiots so what do I know. I’m told the length of the cord may also affect how fast an item charges. I bought a 10ft one that works fine. My other observation after numerous Fires I have owned is the subject of reinforced/braided cords. My experience is that the braided cords because of their stiffness have a tendency to damage the charging port. And as many of you know that is usually the first to go. Yes, braided may last longer but I’d sooner replace a cord than a Fire. Considerably cheaper in the long run. All I know is that the 15w one works better than the OEM item. Just as an additional item there is this issue of breakage of the cord. I have bought a fair number of cords for my Fires over the years from various companies and have NEVER had a breakage issue. It is true that I have accidentally tripped over and otherwise inadvertently pulled cords from the Fire a number of times which could have resulted in breakage. I have been lucky it didn’t but have probably “worn out” the charging ports earlier than they should have because of my clumsiness. Considering I use and charge the Fire every day, regardless of the protestations, I am reasonably certain that most of the complaints from non-braided cords have resulted from that and not from defects in the cords themselves. All that is required is that you have to be careful when inserting and pulling the cord from the device as I have to keep reminding myself.

Previous tablet iPad Mini 2 handed down from me to my daughter since she was less than a year old. Storage capacity was 16gb and after all the OS updates and no videos photos or linked account that shared it the capacity dwindled. We barely could save offline content so our daughter could enjoy so we had to pick and choose. Of course the tablet being old the battery lasted maybe an hour at best. This Samsung Tablet geez is a supreme upgrade. Quality of the colors is amazing, touch screen was a little more fluid, more features like hiding apps (play store, settings, etc), and omg the battery life! I tested it myself where I left videos playing practically overnight (about 11pm to 8am) and the battery percentage was above 60%. Of course its for our toddler so not many apps are on there so it’s not eating battery in the background. We went from 16gb to 128gb or 256gb I forget so we have tons of offline content we can now download without having to be picky which to keep or delete. The screen size is a lot bigger, but big enough that if she is tracing letter or painting within a game she has a larger screen to work with. We were even able to find a similar case to the one she is used to and it made the transition a little easier (the one with a handle and the two feet that folds in and out in the back side). The tablet per specs vs price to me was reasonable when purchased. I recommend it, however, make sure to buy a screen protector and/or a case to protect your investment.

I love this tablet. I have been keeping a eye on this tablet for a while and I finally was able to get it (reason for this review). I love to read comics, manga & books online and being half blind I need a huge screen. The performance is great from reading to watching videos that has a crisp clear picture. I even tried a bit of gaming with Diablo Immortal (not a fan) just to see how it runs and it was also smooth. If you are looking for a tablet that performs and has a good size screen and is also at a reasonable price this is it. Not to forget the battery life is great if you use it for casual browsing and reading I have been able to go a full day (10 hours) from 100% to like 30% from having it on reading.

This was one of the best AND worse purchases I’ve ever made. I bought this tablet for reading sheet music, and the switch to digital sheet music has been LIFE CHANGING… But the tablet itself is mid quality. It charges kinda slow, doesn’t hold charge well, and has a Microsoft interface (therefore, is 100% not user-friendly). I and to rewrite some of the machine’s basic code in order to get it to connect with my home wifi, which took AGES. I’m never buying another Microsoft tablet or computer again.

I just received this tab yesterday. I bought it mainly because I wanted to use Udemy app on tablet for my study. However I found conflicting answers in Q&A section of this product. I just went ahead and thought of trying it myself. And guess what, bam! I was able to install Udemy app on this tablet, mission successful :)For those, who wants to install udemy app but not sure this tab support or not based on Q&As, now you know, you can :)Step 1: Install Google Play Store. Note: Default apps (Amazon store) does not have Udemy app, but Google Play store does. Follow instructions from youtube video “How to install Play Store on Amazon Fire Tablet” – credits to R4GE VipeRzZ. Use links from his video to install APKs.Step 2: Login to Google Play Store and Install Udemy app. That’s it. You are all set :)Just from my first use so far, looks like this tab is bit slow while switching between apps and takes time. Charging without adapter on laptop is slow too – it says “slowly charging”. I will revisit this review after using this tablet bit more.

Product was not as described. Its fully functional with power supply no keyboard (I expected based on past reviews) but I expected the case to be in better shape than what I expected

I love my kindle. I use it for everything. I use it whenever I am home or even out to watch all my shows and movies. I use it to read my books and love downloading so many books on there. I have the 64gb and I love the amount of stuff I am able to download and use. To me this is very lightwight and can carry in a nice size totebag as well as bookbag. I like the fact that you can adjust it to be a childs profile so that they aren’t able to get on certain apps that are not child friendly. You can put a password on it as well as parent password it on your account so they can’t go into your amazon account and 1 click buy things. I love the kindle. The only dislikes I have are the camera quality is very fuzzy and not the best when it isn’t the brightest. The other dislike I have is you are not able to mirror anything like previous kindles would allow you to. Other than that I enjoy my kindle. Love it actually. I will continue to promote the kindle to my family just because of all the features you can get from it.

Bought this one when my previous one died. Lots of feature included and taking up storage space i will never use and there is no way to delete them to get the memory cleared. Make sure to actually download any books or music so you can access them off line. Hence the need for more storage space in the device itself and not in the cloud. Works well but no instructions are included, including how to use all the stuff on the device. It would be nice to be able to decide what i want on it. that i would actually use. But for the price i, we all just have to take what we are given. But in spite of my complaints I will buy another Kindle when this one dies. I like to read. Oh well.

I Love my Fire 10 HD! It recharges faster than my 5yr old 10 model. The audio and video are beautifully bright ,sharp and clear. I was not raised with computers or tablets and never had any interest in having these devices until I got one as a gift. Now I can’t imagine living without one. I got rid of my tv and stream exclusively. In my opinion this tablet is of excellent quality and just as good as any high priced device. I highly recommend this product for yourselfor it makes a useful and unforgettable gift. In my experience you will get many years of pleasure from these very reasonably priced devices.

Great tablet I had in years. I got it to read comics in actual size and for media. Performs great, the colors on it are gorgeous. Being 12 inch is like you have a mini TV which I like. The pen that come with it is great as it allows you to not leave finger marks on the screen. I recommend it.

I have an Ipad and I also have a Samsung tablet. Both have many pros and cons. I took a chance on this Kindel reader because I’d read it was …well, better than the others for just reading. I pretty much felt like I was buying a toy but this thing is no toy. I’ve only had it a few days but every day I’m seeing more things that it can do. I’m very impressed and I’ve already told several friends to order one for themselves. 5*!

. First and foremost, the Surface Pro 3’s design is simply stunning. The combination of a premium magnesium alloy body and the sleek, modern aesthetics make it a true eye-catcher. The 12-inch high-resolution PixelSense display is a joy to look at, delivering vibrant colors and sharp details, whether I’m browsing the web, watching videos, or working on important documents.Under the hood, the Intel Core i5 processor paired with 256 GB of storage offers exceptional performance. It effortlessly handles multitasking, allowing me to seamlessly switch between resource-intensive applications without any noticeable lag. Whether I’m editing photos, working on complex spreadsheets, or running demanding software, the Surface Pro 3 keeps up with my demands with ease.
